Scott Policy Seminars

List of Scott Policy Seminars

The Scott Policy Seminars are lectures on current issues relating to the social and economic development of Northern Ireland by speakers who are eminent in their field. The seminars - held each spring and autumn - bring together leading academics, policy makers and non-specialists with the aim of stimulating debate and the exchange of ideas. Seminar topics are typically complementary to ERINI’s research activities.

The Scott Policy Seminars were established by the Northern Ireland Economic Research Centre (NIERC) in spring 1999, in memory of the late Ronnie Scott who was head of NIERC’s Policy Evaluation Unit from 1990 to 1997. The series now continues under the ERINI banner and contributes to our objective of leading an informed debate among the wider policy community.
