David Smallbone
David Smallbone is Professor of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Head of the Centre for Enterprise and Economic Development Research (CEEDR) at Middlesex University.
David has worked on small business issues for over 20 years and is widely recognised as one of the UK's leading researchers in this area.
David is a regular presenter at national and international conferences, and has published widely on different aspects of small business development including high growth SMEs, urban-rural contrasts in SME development; SME support and policy, success and failure in new business start-ups; local enterprise agencies and selective targeting in SME policy.
David's recent work has focussed on small business innovation, SMEs in Eastern Europe and ethnic minority entrepreneurship.
