Lindsay Paterson
Lindsay Paterson is professor of educational policy in the Faculty of Education, Edinburgh University. He has written on many aspects of the sociology of education, in particular on the effects of social disadvantage and on the expansion of higher education.
He has also written widely on Scottish politics and culture. His publications include Education, Democracy and the Scottish Parliament (Scottish Local Government Information Unit, 1997), A Diverse Assembly: the debate on a Scottish Parliament (Edinburgh University Press, 1998) and the Autonomy of Modern Scotland (Edinburgh University Press, 1994).
