Mark Hart
Mark Hart is Professor of Small Business in the Small Business Research Centre (SBRC), Kingston Business School, Kingston University. He is also an Associate Research Fellow in the Northern Ireland Economic Research Centre (NIERC) and Visiting Professor at the Centre d’Economie Regionale (CER), Faculte d’Economie Appliquee, Universite d’Aix-Marseille III in France.
Over the last 20 years Professor Mark Hart has published extensively in the area of small firms and local economic development in Ireland and the UK. He has been closely involved with the research team at NIERC since its inception in 1985 and, together with the late Ronnie Scott, developed a programme of applied research on the impact of the Local Enterprise Development Unit (LEDU) on small firms and economic development in Northern Ireland.
