Mr John Corey is the General Secretary of NIPSA, the largest trade union in Northern Ireland with 45,500 members employed in the civil service, public services and voluntary sector in Northern Ireland.  Mr Corey has been a full time trade union official since 1981 and held previous appointments as NIPSA's Assistant General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary.  He is currently Chairperson of the Northern Ireland Committee of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions(ICTU) and also represents NIPSA on the ICTU Executive Council.  He has also represented the trade unions on several public bodies including the Northern Ireland Economic Council.
